Groundwater modeling is a powerful tool to assess groundwater problems and to manage groundwater resources more efficiently. Yet, due to the complexity of the modeling process, small changes and adaptations often improve the quality of the model considerably. Experience in modelling but also a sound basis in geology and hydrogeology are key to successfully apply groundwater models to real problems.
